Earn CPE Credits toward Your Certifications

Many professional certification organizations have continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for their practitioners that must be fulfilled to maintain the awarded credentials. It is not uncommon to receive one CPE for each hour spent attending relevant conferences and events.

For certified privacy and/or security practitioners, the SNIA Storage Security Summit, scheduled for May 11, 2022, may be a very cost-effective way to earning CPEs. More than 10 hours of content are currently planned with most or all of it being potentially eligible for CPEs, subject to the criteria established by the certifying organization.

We have listed the most common information security and privacy accrediting organizations below. You must self-report your CPE credits earned to your credentialing organization. SNIA does not report earned CPE credits on your behalf. Keep your registration receipt and a copy of the agenda as evidence of your attendance at this event in case you are audited by your credentialing organization. Please note that SNIA can provide a printed certificate of attendance for the Storage Security Summit on request.

Accrediting Organizations

  • (ISC)² — (ISC)² members can earn up to 6 Group A CPE credits for the main conference. Self-report your attendance through the (ISC)² website and provide appropriate documentation. Visit the (ISC)² FAQ page for more about CPE inquiries.
  • IAPP — Up to 6 CPE credits may be awarded to IAPP-certified professionals for the main conference. Self-report your attendance through the IAPP website using the CPE application form and provide appropriate supporting documentation. Why certify with the IAPP?
  • ISACA — ISACA members may receive up to 6 CPE credits for the main conference. Self-report your attendance through the ISACA website and provide supporting appropriate documentation. How to report and earn ISACA CPE.
