• prop-111: Request-based expansion of IPv6 default
allocation size
– Proposal did not reach consensus at the Policy SIG and was
returned to the author for further development
• prop-110: Designate 1.2.3.0/24 as Anycast to support DNS
Infrastructure
– The proposal reached consensus at the Policy SIG, but failed to
reach consensus at the AMM
• Returned to mailing list for further consideration, but later withdrawn by the author
and abandoned
• prop-109, which is now implemented

17. Whois Service
• Geolocation information
– Associate your IP registrations with geolocation
– The “geoloc” attribute of an inetnum or inet6num object can be used to
associate a latitude/longitude coordinate pair with a particular address
block
• If you find that a geolocation provider has incorrect location
details of your IP address range, you can contact them and
request they update the location of the range.
• You may update your IP information in third party GEOIP
databases such as:
– MaxMind
– Google support
– IP2 Location
– IPligence
