1. The new WHOIS system does not provide the same information as the old one. Why is that?
That whois system was geared to the registrants from a registrar (Uniforum) perspective. ZARC is the registry and does not provide domain billing information to the registrant any longer, this is the responsibility of the registrar.

2. How do I get my payment history?
Your new registrar should be ableto provide you with billing information for any of your domains.

3. Is it mandatory to transfer from UNIFORUM to a new registrar?
No, however there are policy changes which makes this move desirable.

4. Was there some legislation avaialable?
Please have a look at https://www.registry.net.za/ under Legal/Policies also see http://www.coza.net.za for any further information.

5. Were domain owners notified of the change?
The change was published in the news paper and made available on the registry website. Furthermore, registrars were asked to notify their client-base about the change.

6. Do I still pay UNIFORUM directly for domain renewals and new registrations?
No, all transactions will be performed through your accredited registrar.

7. How does the new notification system work?
We only deal with domain expiry and renewals. All correspondance goes through the accredited registrar with the exception of domain/contact update notifications.

8. Can domains still be registered with UNIFORUM?
UNIFORUM is still acting as the Legacy Registrar. This means that domains can still be registered with UNIFORUM, and the process will stay the same as before.

9. Is there anything else I should know?

There are accredited registrars who would welcome your business. See the List.
