Lucky by mistake – have you ever walked into the wrong conference room and not realized the mistake until the show had started? Yesterday, I attended a conference about customer data and AI arranged by The Danish Industry Foundation. I arrived in time and found a seat just as it started. My first thought was that it was odd that it was in English because it was a Danish conference. But the topic was AI, which was in line with the topic of the day of how to utilize customer data – I thought. The first speaker was Steven Pemberton, with a Keynote on "There's no I in AI (yet)" He introduced himself as co-designer of ABC, the programming language that Python was based on, and as one of the first handful of people on the European Internet in 1988. It was a great presentation, insights and an experience I was thrilled to get - by mistake. By accident, I attended the conference “The Digital Leadership” by #boye23. I afterward discovered that the program they had lined up for the three-day conference was of high quality, and in 2024 they will probably have me on the attendance list😊 Sometimes mistakes can be quite beneficial😊 And by the way, after the first presentation, I snook out of the conference, and got into the one I had come for, which also was time well spent.
I don't think you were in the wrong room. Sounds like you were in the right one for you that day 😃
Love this. Luck is alive and kicking😎
If Steven Pemberton is there, then it can't be the 'wrong' conference room. Just the one you originally did not intend to join 😉. Great story, and welcome to the community!
Even worse, I once followed the wrong funeral procession....
I think Steven Pemberton should put more effort in speaking Dansk 😀 Der er intet jeg i AI (endnu)
leuk verhaal
❤️🔥
Ha, what a great story. Serendipity. I‘m sure Steven was very insightful!
Such a cute beneficial mistake! 😁
Let's use networking and learning to make things better
