Are you familiar with our grant programs? Today, we highlight Beyond the Net, aimed at Internet Society chapters. 🌍 There are more than 110 active Internet Society chapters across six continents. They provide unique regional perspectives on emerging Internet issues and share an interest and belief in our mission. BtN grants range up to USD $5,000 for projects lasting up to nine months and up to USD $50,000 for projects lasting between 9 and 24 months. 💻 The program focuses on projects that support establishing or facilitating connectivity, growing local Internet-related knowledge and skills, and understanding Internet usage and local needs. ➡ Subscribe to our newsletter to keep up to date with our latest news: https://isoc.pub/4cPAKpR. 

🌟 We just concluded a fantastic SCILLS grantee meeting in Ghana! Our team gathered with successful applicants from the 2023-2025 grant cycle in Accra. It was an enriching experience filled with insightful discussions, site visits, and meetings with the Internet Society Ghana Chapter. 🤜🤛 Following the success of previous SCILLS gatherings, we recognized the value of bringing together partners from different regions to deepen our understanding of their work, refine our strategies, and foster a sense of community among grantees. 💻 With projects focusing on digital skills development in Ghana and Senegal, we're committed to ensuring their success through robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning practices. 💪 Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender digital inclusion 💻 A new research report by the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership, supported by the Internet Society Foundation, examines the challenges and opportunities in achieving gender digital inclusion, especially following the COVID-19 pandemic. Lockdowns exacerbated these existing divides. Women in underserved areas faced barriers like: ❌ Lack of infrastructure, such as mobile towers. ❌ High cost of devices and data plans. ❌ Dependence on men in their families for device use. ❌ Limited time due to income-generating activities and care work. The report calls for targeted investments and policies to promote meaningful connectivity for women. This includes: ✅ Deep investments that use substantial resourcing to make profound changes in a specific policy area or for a specific community. ✅ Grand visions that combine years of effort with substantial funding resources to revolutionize the status quo. ✅ Easy wins that are comparatively discreet and specific changes that can still create tangible value at their scale. ✅ Scalable systems that represent large, programmatic changes in the pre-existing ways of working. ➡️ Read the full article at https://isoc.pub/3Q5Sq6V #genderdigitaldivide #genderdigitalinclusion #InternetSocietyFoundation
