We are at the forefront of new Information and Communication Technologies, leading the development of standards that enable a sustainable and securely connected society. We are a not-for-profit body with more than 900 member organizations worldwide, drawn from over 60 countries and five continents. Members comprise a diversified pool of large and small private companies, research entities, academia, government and public organizations.     TeraFlowSDN Release 3 is now available! The ETSI TeraFlowSDN community is proud to announce the third release of TeraFlowSDN, an innovative and robust SDN orchestrator and controller, delivering a fully featured Network Automation Platform. In this latest release, TeraFlowSDN enhances its capabilities with the integration of an Optical SDN controller, expanding device support to include gNMI and OpenConfig protocols. It also features enriched network integrations for end-to-end orchestration like IP over DWDM, L3VPN, MEC, and network topology exposure. The management of network topologies is improved with the addition of a new BGP-LS speaker able to discover the topologies, and a new Forecaster component is introduced, providing predictive insights for network management. These additions substantially augment the versatility and management capabilities of the TeraFlowSDN platform.     ETSI is supporting the 6G Global Summit! All around the world, work on developing the 6G vision is picking up pace. We are on the brink of a new era of connectivity that promises to revolutionize industries and transform the way we live, work and communicate. The 6G Global Summit (21-22 May) will bring together top-level industry and policy representatives from all around the world to explore the path to 2030 and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.     Register now for the 6th NG112 Emergency Communications with NG eCall PlugtestsTM event! Organized by ETSI in cooperation with the European Emergency Number Association (EENA) and with the support of ETSI TC EMTEL and TC MSG, this face-to-face interoperability testing event will be hosted by the University of Malaga, Spain, from 30 September to 4 October 2024. The concept of "Next Generation 112" (NG112) has been identified as a potential answer to the increasing requirements and demands of content-rich emergency calling. The interoperability of such NG112 with NG eCall products and services has not been tested in Europe so far, leading to this ideal opportunity.     New #6G logo approved The Project Coordination Group (PCG) of 3GPP has approved a new logo for use on specifications for 6G, during their 52nd PCG meeting, hosted by ATIS in Reston, Virginia this week. The creation of this graphical mark is the next step in 3GPP’s preparations for the next generation of mobile systems. In December 2023, the Organizational Partners (Standards bodies): ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, TSDSI, TTA and TTC announced their joint commitment to make 6G happen in 3GPP. Now there is a graphical badge that can accompany the 3GPP work on the topic.  https://lnkd.in/dwgDq6-R

    A don't miss opportunity: ETSI Webinar “CAPIF from Standards to Practice: Synergy between 3GPP, ETSI MEC and OpenCAPIF” The webinar will provide a guide to the MEC Service API application enablement and its interworking with the Common API Framework (CAPIF) defined in 3GPP. The speakers, as key experts in the area, will present the latest achievements and alignments in standardization in ETSI and 3GPP. The webinar will also provide an overview of the recently established Software Development Group (SDG) in ETSI called OpenCAPIF, an important open-source initiative in the area, as complementary effort to standardization.
