I have owned my 40 oz Stanley cup for a couple years now, but when I am at the park, pool, soccer games, football games I end up getting it knocked over where I lose all my water from it spilling out. I figured with spring sports and summer just ahead it was time for an “outside the house” water bottle so I made the purchase of the handled 30oz spill resistant Stanley water bottle.Good/Pros:I love the 30 oz option of cup option I’d prefer a 40 oz option but 30oz is still sizable. I purchased a dark dray, and the lid and brand logo are black, I feel like it is subtle and stylish. I like the Stanley logo embossed into the handle, I think it adds a bit of pizazz. Thus far, I have left my bottle on its side and have yet to have my water spill out. The description does say “spill resistant” so I’d still be ok if the occasional drop of water spilled out when on its side, anything can be better than 40oz of water spilled in a matter of seconds like the 40oz side handle Stanley.The handle is attached with metal and thus far it seems very strong and sturdy.Bad/Cons:I love the idea of the top handle, but it is very “sharp” as it’s very angular and not at all rounded or made of softer plastic. Very hard and sharp.Screwing the lid onto the cup is not easy. It takes multiple attempts for me to have it on correctly. No the case with the 40oz side handle cup which is very easy to thread the lid onto the bottle.When holding the handle it’s very awkward if you still have the straw portion of the lid still up, as there isn’t much room for your hand. A longer handle would fix this, but as of now it requires closing the straw down in order to effectively carry around.
