AFTLD Conducts Marketing Training for ANRT, the .MA ccTLD

Africa Top Level Domains Organization conducted a marketing workshop in Rabat Morocco in Partnership with ANRT the Operator for the .MA Registry. The workshop took place on 21st March 2023. The Theme of the workshop was The .MA DNS Ecosystem, an enabler of a thriving digital economy. The following topics were discussed at the workshop:

1. Unmasking the DNS ecosystem
2. The history of the .Ma ccTLD
3. .MA ccTLD affiliations and Multistakeholder Engagement
4. Value Proposition of the .MA domain
5. .ma policies and impact of covid 19 on .MA domains
6. The Buy .MA Campaign

The Training also had dedicated sessions for Registrars which covered the following issues:

1. Digital Marketing Strategies
2. Building value around your brand as a Registry
3. Building value around your brand as a Registrar

The workshop was part of AFTLD Marketing working group initiatives aimed at growing the numbers of domain names in African ccTLDs through systemic enhancements in the ecosystem. The marketing course also focuses on the following issues:
Identifying your target market
• Small and Medium Enterprises
• Multinational Corporations
• Defensive Registrants (Protecting their Brands,
Squatting)
• Educational Institutions
• Government and Government agencies
• Individual Users (Professionals , Students)
• Bloggers e-commerce companies.
