- TBWA Chiat/Day has won the Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences' second-ever Emmy in the Outstanding Commercial category for its "Think different" ad for Apple Computer.

The ad, which honours creative geniuses who strived to change the world, includes such people as Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali and Martha Graham.

The "Think different" brand campaign was the first work by Apple and TBWA in more than a decade. Previous collaboration produced many award-winning ads, including the now-legendary "1984" TV ad. The "Think different" brand campaign includes television and print advertising, outdoor posters, wall paintings, bus shelters and bus wraps.

Lee Clow, TBWA Chiat/Day's chairman and chief creative director worldwide, said: "The campaign has been one of the most rewarding efforts for both me personally and for the agency. It's great to now be honoured by people in our field who themselves are striving to encourage a more creative world."
