Files Finder

Files Finder

Quickly search for and find any lost or misplaced file, even if you don't know which folder it is in.

MacKeeper™ Files Finder feature

When To Use

Use predefined Files Finder search parameters to quickly and easily find:

  • Video files

  • Audio files

  • Photos

  • Archives

  • Applications
    (*.dmg files)

How It Works

Search for your files using whatever information your can remember.

Use Custom Presets to create your own filters for specific files.

Default Apps

Default Apps

The easiest way to assign specific file types to the applications you want is to open them. It'll make your life so much easier when your files do what you want them to do.

Default Apps gives you a list of all the file types on your Mac and the applications that open them by default. You can easily customize this list by finding the file type you want to change, selecting the current default program and choosing a new program from the list of relevant programs that appears.

MacKeeper™ Default Apps feature assigns specific file types to applications that should open these file types.
File Recoveery

Files Recovery

Make it so “gone” doesn't have to mean “gone for good.” Now you can recover once-deleted files from the Trash!

Files Recovery scans your drive for deleted files that can be still restored.

MacKeeper™: Back up your important files and folders, keep them safe and secure.
  • I added the files, but the Backup button doesn't work...

You need to choose a destination for the files you added so that Backup knows where to copy them.

  • How do I schedule my backups?

Click the Manual button for the files you want to back up, then set up your schedule (daily, weekly, etc.).

  • What are "copies"?

Backup stores numerous different versions of your files as they are updated over time.
