[tcpdump-workers] hiting the head in the lex-wall

I'm having problem with the libpcap/scanner.l file and Solaris lex.

"../../libpcap/scanner.l":line 174: Error: Definitions too long

I worked around it by using flex+bison but it would be nice if things
just worked even with old lex+yacc.  Itojun: do you have any ideas on
how to simplify the scanner?  Or should we just give up and require
flex+bison?
