Recommended Practice for Medium Voltage (1.5 kV to 35 kV) Direct Current (DC) Transformers

This recommended practice specifies the requirements for 1.5 kV to 35 kV medium voltage direct current (DC) transformers, including functional requirements, performance requirements, and test requirements. This recommended practice also provides the definitions, topology and configuration, primary equipment, control and protection requirements, interface specifications, auxiliary system requirements, and application scenarios for medium voltage DC transformers in distribution systems.
