SNIA Technology Groups

SNIA members share a common goal to advance and standardize both established and emerging technologies that facilitate and improve data movement, security, management, storage, and performance. These dedicated, member-driven groups include: Forums, Initiatives, and Committees.

Forums

Forums are focused on vendor-neutral education and promotion of specific technologies around which each Forum is established. Unlike many other groups within SNIA, Forums do not support a specific SNIA Technical Work Group.

Initiatives

SNIA Initiatives provide vendor-neutral education and marketing that align with the technical development activities within specific SNIA Technical Work Groups.

A SNIA Technology Affiliate is a technical working body consisting of a specifically named Technical Work Group (TWG) and is overseen by the Technical Council to execute on its technical deliverables; and is overseen by the Board of Directors.

Technology Committees

Technology Committees work to further the awareness and adoption of specific technologies. Activities can include education, best practices and technology guidance.
