Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2024 was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you!  Our conferences, workshops and 1st ever EXPO@SMW welcomed over 10,000 attendees represented by close to 80 countries and regions. Over 30 panels and presentations, more than 100 thought leaders shared their industry knowledge and insights on #digitalisation #decarbonisation #talentdevelopment #innovation throughout five days of conferences.  The inaugural 8RO (Classification Societies) Reception also saw over 700 like-minded industry leaders, partners and maritime professionals coming together to forge stronger relationships over an evening of networking. Day 4 of Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2024 saw over 200 global industry leaders discuss the role of #maritime services in advancing the #digital and green transformation at the Maritime Services Leaders Forum.   The maritime services cluster needs to move in tandem with new developments in the industry, said Mr Eng Dih Teo in his opening address. To this end, the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) will be forming work groups to study the implications of emerging issues for the maritime sector.    Together with Singapore International Commercial Court, #SCMA has played a significant role in positioning #Singapore as an international legal hub that offers a comprehensive suite of dispute resolution services, including #arbitration.   Singapore will be hosting the International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA) XXIII in March 2026. #ICMA is a global flagship event for maritime and commercial arbitrators, legal experts and the #shipping community. Singapore will also host the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI)’s annual conference in September 2025, a global platform for marine insurers to discuss key issues for the sector.
