➡️During the 16th European Economic Congress (Europejski Kongres Gospodarczy), experts debated the future of the European and Polish #economy. The aviation theme - including drones - could not be ignored. Maciej Włodarczyk manager from the Centre for the Development of UTM Systems and BSP Operations Polish Air Navigation Services Agency took part in the session „Drones above us - opportunities and threats”✇🕹️ During the meeting, discussions included: 🟢 The genesis of unmanned aircraft regulations and how they have changed over the years; 🟢 the implementation of the DroneTower app, development plans and the number of operations (Polish Air Navigation Services Agency currently receives around 5,000 flight requests via the app every day‼️); 🟢 the intensive development of PansaUTM; 🟢the implementation and role of the KSID (National Drone Information System); 🟢 anti-drone systems - their development, but also the difficulties encountered.   📢Podczas XVI European Economic Congress (Europejski Kongres Gospodarczy) 🌍eksperci debatowali o przyszłości europejskiej i polskiej gospodarki. Airlines and ATM supervisors use satellite navigation 📡 as a convenient tool, but disruptions to the GPS signal have no impact on either the safety of operations or their efficiency. There are many alternative elements to ensure the effectiveness of aircraft guidance. We have many other security systems for such situations. And so do we, meaning ATM managers and airlines. The Aviation Zone at the European Festival on May 1st, showcased the strength of the Polish aviation industry. With the official opening graced by Maciej Lasek, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy of Poland, alongside representatives from our partner institutions, the event promised an enriching experience. In collaboration with key figures from the Polish aviation sector, including LOT Polish Airlines, represented by its CEO Michal Fijol, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, represented by its CEO Magdalena Jaworska, Polish Airports Polskie Porty Lotnicze S.A., represented by its CEO Andrzej Ilków and the Civil Aviation Authority Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego, represented by its acting CEO Julian Rotter we curated an immersive experience. 👏 Congrats to Polish Air Navigation Services Agency for the completion of iTEC Tests, Validations and Planning Project, also contributed by ORO NAVIGACIJA.     ✅ The iTEC-based #ATM system requirements and concept of operation (CONOPS) were defined, based on system validation and tests.       🇵🇱 🇱🇹 This #SESAR implementation project contributes to the deployment of the SESAR Deployment Programme Family 3.2.2 'Enhanced Free Route Airspace Operations' in #Poland and #Lithuania.    ⛽ 🌳 The #deployment project belongs to a thread containing two other projects from Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, mainly heading to improve the capacity plus generating fuel and CO2 savings.     📈 Beside this, testing, validation and planning activities conducted in this Implementation Project will ensure the successful implementation of new Polish Air Navigation Services Agency iTEC based ATM system, which together with new operational concepts (e.g. Cross-border Free Route Airspace) provide massive benefits in key performance areas such as:  ✔ safety  ✔ capacity (improvement by 10%)  ✔ Air Navigation Service Cost Efficiency (improvement by 5% concerning ATCO productivity and 10% in terms of technology cost reduction)  ✔ flight efficiency (improvement by 10% with reference to flight efficiency both 'in time' and 'in fuel')    🎤 Project Manager Jaroslaw Pielunowicz:   "Thanks to this project, we were able to better validate the iTEC system functionalities and its architecture and it helped us to better prepare our needs for the future #ATM system.    The availability of the iTEC system test and validation platform as well as the cooperation with our supplier gave us the possibility for a more hands-on approach and accelerated our work regarding requirements and maturity."     #SESARdelivers #AsOne #aviation #CP1   CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency   European Commission
