2024 Upcoming Activities
May 13-17
NSRC will conduct a Network Management and Monitoring Workshop for
KENET.
May 23-25 NSRC organized a site visit to The University of The Gambia . Anna Secka Saine and Patrick Okui from NSRC will go for the visit.
May 26-29
NSRC will teach a Routing Infrastructure & Security Operations Workshop. Phil Smith and Tashi Phuntsho of the NSRC will be the instructors of the workshop that will be held prior to the
BKNIX Peering Forum 2024.
Jun 24-28 NSRC will conduct a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations Workshop as part of PacNOG 33 that will be held in Guam.
Jul 15-19 NSRC and Kenic organized a two-day learning visit to enhace capacity building for AfTLD, ccTLD. The event will be hosted by
AFRINIC.
Aug 4-9
NSRC will participate in btNOG 11 and will be conducting a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop during the event. Brian Candler, Philip Smith and Tashi Phuntsho of the NSRC will be the instructors of the workshop.

Feb 21-23 Hervey Allen, Carlos Armas, Brian Candler, Bob Totsted of the NSRC will conduct a 3-day Practical Virtualisation with Hybrid Strategies Workshop during APRICOT 2024 .

Jan 29-Feb 2 NSRC will participate in APAN 57 that will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jan 15-18 NSRC in conjunction with the Philippine Research, Education, and Government Information Network PREGINET organized a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop at the College of Computer Science, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges CSPC in San Miguel, Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines. The workshop will be followed by two days of Direct Engineering Assistance at CSPC after the workshop.

November-December
Nov 27-Dec 1 Philip Smith and Neil Fenemor of the NSRC will conduct a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations Workshop during PacNOG 32.
Nov 12-17 Hervey Allen of NSRC will participate in SC23 helping to run the SCinet Research Exposition (details available in the event program).
Nov 6-14 NSRC personnel Hervey Allen, Brian Candler, and Philip Smith will conduct a CNDO Workshop and provide Direct Engineer Assistance to Guam Community College and the University of Guam.
October
Oct 17-20 NSRC will lead a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop during SANOG 40. Philip Smith will also give a presentation on Internet Routing.
Oct 2-6 NSRC in collaboration with Princeton University provided engineering assistance to Mpala Research Center. NSRC staff, Dale Smith and Sebastian Buettrich went for the DEA.

September 19-20 NSRC instructor Hervey Allen conducted a Network Monitoring Essentials Tutorial that was held virtually during Afnog 2023.
September 18-23 NSRC participaned in the mnNOG 5 Conference and taught a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations Workshop during the meeting. Philip Smith and Tashi Phuntsho were the instructors of this workshop. Tashi Phuntsho also particated in a panel.
September 18-22 NSRC participated in the 2023 Internet2 Technology Exchange and sponsored University of South Pacific engineers to participate in the event.
September 11-13 Greg Shepherd of the NSRC provided a Route Views presentation at the European Peering Forum.
September 6 NSRC will teach a workshop during Oregon Tribal Broadband Summit IV.

August 7-11 Patrick Okui of NSRC provided direct engineering assistance to Uganda Martyr's University.

July 24-26 Philip Smith of the NSRC participated in The Africa Engagement Forum held in Accra, Ghana.
July 18-24 Hans Kuhn of the NSRC proved support for IETF 117 network buildout.

June 19-24 NSRC in collaboration with GARNETorganized a CNDO Workshop and Direct Engineering Assistance Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop followed by Direct Engineering Assistance for the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana.
June 19-23 NSRC lead a network security audit for the University of South Pacific in Suva, Fiji.
June 12-14 NSRC will be presenting and teaching at NANOG 88 in Seattle, WA. Greg Shepherd gave a presentation on Route Views and BGP Data Updates and Philip Smith taught BGP Techniques for Network Operators Tutorial.

May 17-19 NSRC, THNIC, BKNIX worked together to organize a 3 day BGP Deployment Operations Workshop.
May 15-20 NSRC attended BKNIX Peering Forum and ThaiNOG 2023. Philip Smith and Greg Shepherd of the NSRC participated in the Meeting. Greg Shepherd gave a presentation on Route Views and BGP Data.
May 9 NSRC participated in SANOG 39. Philip Smith of the NSRC gave a presentation during the meeting:

Jan 30 - Feb 3 NSRC and ICANN organized a DNS Operations and DNSSEC workshop for Turkish Information and Communication Technologies Authority - Bilgi Teknolojileri Kurumu (BTK) . NSRC's instructor Phil Regnauld taught the workshop virtually.
Jan 23-27 NSRC provided Direct Engineering Assistance to the University of Guam.
