About us
Universal Acceptance (UA) is the key to unlocking a truly multilingual internet where all domain names, including new top-level domains (TLDs) and Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), are treated equally. This ensures that anyone, regardless of their language or background, can access the internet in their language of choice. On March 28, 2023, India is leading the charge in digital inclusivity by commemorating Universal Acceptance Day (UA Day) in New Delhi. Hosted in partnership with the Universal Access Steering Group (UASG) and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), UA Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of Universal Acceptance. It brings together governments, international organisations, industry associations and corporations to build consensus on creating inclusive online spaces that can be accessed by everyone. By promoting Universal Acceptance, we aim to empower people from all walks of life to participate in the digital world and realize the full potential of the internet. Together, let's create a more accessible, linguistically diverse, and inclusive online community.
