FICCI delegation, with SG Mr S. K. PATHAK, along with Chair, Co-Chair and Members of Power and Renewable Energy Committees Mr Vipul Tuli & Mr Shivanand N. met with Mr Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India, and his senior colleagues. The delegation highlighted FICCI initiatives in the energy and power sector. Issues discussed included improving transmission infrastructure, power distribution, and energy storage systems. 

I was part of a FICCI delegation led by Anish Shah that called in on Suman Bery, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog. The discussion covered a wide range of issues including FICCI’s priorities which are in sync with the goal of #ViksitBharat.

The Electric Truck taskforce, formed by the Ministry Of Heavy Industries, organized the third stakeholder consultation on Electric Truck manufacturing in India. Chaired by Dr. Hanif Qureshi, IPS, Additional Secretary, Ministry Of Heavy Industries, Govt. of India, along with Amit Bhatt, India Managing Director, ICCT India and Dr. Anannya Das Banerjee from the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Davis, the consultation drew participation from truck OEMs, emerging startups, and other stakeholders. Key discussions revolved around e-truck market preparedness, identifying barriers hindering e-truck sales, and outlining policy support required for market certainty. Inputs from all stakeholders were thoroughly deliberated upon during the session. This initiative, part of the country's Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem vision, aligns with #ViksitBharat. The Ministry Of Heavy Industries, in collaboration with FICCI established the EV task force to gather insights and recommendations for promoting Electric Vehicle adoption. #Sustainability #ViksitBharat #ElectricTrucks #ElectricVehicle #ETruckTaskforce NITI Aayog

FICCI President Dr Anish Shah along with Immediate Past President Mr Subhrakant Panda, Past President Mr Harsh Pati Singhania and SG Mr S. K. PATHAK met NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Mr Suman Bery today in New Delhi. They briefed NITI Aayog on FICCI priorities for the year and extensive work done in consultation with industry leaders and senior government officials.

The FICCI team, led by SG Mr S. K. PATHAK, organized an exclusive interaction for its members with His Excellency Mr Philip Green OAM, High Commissioner of Australia to India, with many leading industry members present. After the ECTA between the two countries, large opportunities for enhancing trade and investment have opened up for businesses. Key sectors discussed were Automotive, Education, Energy, Mining, Pharmaceuticals, Technology, and Tourism.
