Blackadder is an information-centric networking prototype developed in the PURSUIT EU FP7 research project.
- Works in Linux, Mac OS X and FreeBSD
- User and kernel space implementations
- Pub/sub API operating on information graph of labels
- API libraries for C++, C, Java, Python and Ruby
- Realizes core functions of rendezvous, topology management and forwarding
- Implements five different dissemination strategies within the PURSUIT functional model
- Runs over Ethernet or raw IP (therefore can run in native L2 networks, via overlays (e.g., OpenVPN), or directly in the Internet)
- Open source, GPLv2/BSD dual license
- Uses the Click Modular Router platform
