👏 Congrats to Austro Control for the completion of the 'VHF Concept Implementation 2020 Project'.    ✅ The Austro Control radio stations were equipped with ED-137/C compliant VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) radios, including updates for infrastructure, data connection, monitoring, and control system. This implementation project contributed to the #deployment of the #SESAR Deployment Programme Family 3.1.2 'Management of Predefined Airspace Configurations' in 🇦🇹 Austria.    🛫 VoIP technology enables a flexible radio and frequency allocation, which will be necessary for flexible and dynamic #airspace configurations. This allows Austro Control to handle air traffic from multiple units.    🛬 By merging and/or segregating individual sectors, temporary capacity constraints can be handled more easily, resulting in an overall higher flight efficiency - for example on off-peak times, when traffic is very low (efficiency), but also on peak times, when more sectors are needed (capacity). 👏 Congrats to ENAIRE for completing the #SESAR #deployment project on 'Fulfilment of the prerequisite A-SMGCS 2.'     ✅ The Advanced-Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS) Level 2 in #Barcelona, #Madrid and #Palma de Mallorca were implemented, including system specifications, testing, verification and ATCOs training.     This implementation project contributes to the deployment of the #SESAR Deployment Programme Family 2.3.1 “Airport Safety Nets” in Madrid Barajas International Airport, Barcelona Airport and Palma de Mallorca Airport.     🛬 🛫 The project aims at the implementation and deployment of Advanced-Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS) level 2 as a prerequisite for the Airport Safety Nets function. 👏 Congrats to Lufthansa Group for the completion of the #SESAR #deployment project related to the 'Provision of EFPL data and initial FF-ICE/1 readiness'. The FF-ICE functionality was deployed allowing the filing of the eFPL (Extended Flight Plan) by the airline.     🛫 This implementation project contributes to the deployment of the #SESAR Deployment Programme Family 5.6.1 'Flight Information Exchange' by airspace users.    📈 This project is part of a bundle of projects and is expected to bring performance benefits in the areas of Predictability and Interoperability.    🌍 As Lufthansa Group airlines operate throughout the globe, the implementation of especially the FF-ICE eFPL is of paramount importance for the interoperability. Only the flight planning system is able to consider requirements and constraints globally and can therefore ensure that the effects of them are correctly reflected in the flight plan.      🎤 Lufthansa Group stated:  "With this project, we have taken a relevant step within the #digitalization of flight plan management. 👏 Congrats to Direction Generale de l'Aviation Civile for the completion of the Project on Enablers of Network Collaborative Management for En-Route and Airports.     ✈ The SALTO (Swift ATFCM Local Tools Organiser) system was implemented in #Brest, #Bordeaux, #Marseille, #Reims and #Paris ACCs, enhancing the coordination between the ANSP, Airport and airspace users with the Network Manager  tools.    ✈ SALTO provides flow managers with advanced functionalities, paving the way to tailor-made ATFCM measures, thus minimizing the impact of delays on the network while optimizing resources management.     ✈ Additionally, this project integrates the BigSky tool in charge of supporting airport oriented optimisation in Paris airports as well as the CDM@DSNA portal that offers easy access to collaborative services to a wide range of users.     ✅ This implementation project contributes to the deployment of the #SESAR Deployment Programme Families 4.1.1 “Enhanced STAM”, 4.2.1 “Interactive rolling NOP”, 4.3.1 “Automated Support for Traffic Complexity Assessment and Flight Planning interfaces” and 4.2.2 “Initial AOP/NOP Information Sharing” in France.    📈 ⏱ 🇪🇺 This project will contribute to decrease significantly the ATFCM delays and to increase the capacity in the core European area. The new Lido Flight software was upgraded with Free Route flight planning capabilities enabling the optimization of the trajectory planning within the Free Route airspace.     ✅ This implementation project contributes to the #deployment of the #SESAR Deployment Programme Family 3.2.2 “Enhanced FRA Operations” by airspace users.    🌳⛽ ⏱ This project is part of a bundle of projects, which should generate in combination with two other submitted projects savings in CO2, fuel and flight time.     🇪🇺 The Free Route concept, which is supported by this implementation project is a corner stone of possible improvements in the #EU airspace.    🛫 In coordination with the establishment of Free Route airspaces by the European Air Navigation Service Providers this project is increasing the flight efficiency by offering additional flight planning options (with possibly shorter distance) compared to the ARN (Air Traffic Services Route Network) currently in place, thus shorter flight times can be expected.     🎤 Lufthansa Group shares:   "Free Route Airspace allows for the optimization of flight routes on the most efficient trajectories. If the No.1 route is congested or has weather interferences, there are alternative options for a second efficient route.
