8th’s versions
There are currently four versions (SKUs) of 8th:
- Free
- Hobbyist
- Professional
- Enterprise
They differ in the features they provide. As mentioned on the builtin features page, all 8th versions have the same base features. The differences are in the “extras”.
The purchase price of the non-free versions entitles you to one year of subscriptions to updates for that version. When that subscription expires, you may renew it (at a much lower price) or let it lapse. Once lapsed, any new versions of 8th you get will be the “Free” version (unless you’ve upgraded).
Regardless of the status of your update subscription, you may continue to use your version of 8th, and produce executables with it, as long as you wish. Your specific version of 8th never expires, and there is no limitation on how many executables you can deploy with it nor how long those executables are valid.
Upgrading from your version to a more capable SKU can be done at any time, and extends your update subscription for a year from the upgrade date.
Note: The Free version does not have 32-bit binaries for desktop OSes, nor does it have 64-bit Android or RPI binaries. Get the Free version
